Pen Pal Opportunity

Hello former Area 24 families,

Bet you thought you were done hearing from me! I hope you've had a great start to your summer.

I'm am writing to see if anyone is interested in helping their child be a pen pal to a young French girl.

Quick back story:

When I was in high school, I went on an exchange to France. Though we have only visited each other a handful of times, my exchange partner, Anne-Cécile, and I have remained good friends all these years by writing old school letters back and forth. She now has a lovely daughter, Lalie, who is the same age as your almost grade two students. 

Anne-Cécile is interested in finding a pen pal for Lalie and she asked if one of my students would be interested. This would be a great opportunity to practice writing in French with a purpose and make a new friend. Who knows where this could lead?

Lalie does not speak English, so all correspondence would need to be in French, but no worries if there are a few English words here and there, Anne-Cécile will understand. If this sounds interesting to you, please email me. I'll get you a picture so you know who you're writing to, and get you started. When school starts again, I'd love to help with the letter writing.
